Twitter is essentially a communication tool, it has been modified to so many different ways by usage, so everyone has their own idea of using Twitter. Some think that its a marketing tool so they go around posting affiliate links to their tweets, while some think that Twitter is a communication medium so they use it as an alternative for their IM client. Twitter is a large source of getting more clicks and page views on posts for bloggers
However you use Twitter, there are some common things every twitter user agree on. Everybody needs a valid reason for following someone else on Twitter and that is the only thing that you should worry about.
What will you give to others if they follow you ? Ask yourself that question and do what you can. Nobody wants to follow you just because he’s your friend. If he doesn’t follow you he can save on some API’s at least. So give people a reason to follow you. Here are some tips that ay help you.

There are lot of good things you can do people on Twitter. Retweet them, answer their questions, help them find and answer to questions, follow them on #followfriday. These are all things that will get you noticed and people will like. Do it in plenty and you are definitely going to get it back, if not all.
